Teacher Training

If you’re a yoga teacher with a desire to take your skills, education and practice to the next level, becoming a PhysioYoga Certified Instructor is the perfect next step. Our program consists of 80 hours of contact training and 20 hours of observation, practical and written work in order to prepare students to begin teaching.

Our method is broken down into 3 educational segments including:

1. Knowledge Foundations:

Including anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, nervous system physiology, and musculoskeletal pathology.

2. The Mobility Assessment Skill:

Including an asana-based assessment system, subjective history taking, and biopsychosocial observation and evaluation.

3. Restoration:

Using the knowledge foundations and assessment tool we work to restore function. Including therapeutic movements and yoga poses, mindfulness, and breath work as medicine.

By the end of this program, teachers will be highly versed in movement assessment, musculoskeletal and physiological causes and implications of suboptimal and dysfunctional movement, the functionality of a Physio Stick™, the neurological considerations of re-training the musculoskeletal system and deep integration of fascia and other connective tissue with the nervous system as it impacts the way we move.
