Devin Bartosiewicz - Instructor

Originally from Connecticut before moving to Arizona to attend ASU. I’ve always been very active growing up, spending most of my childhood running, swimming, or biking outdoors. Back home, I participated in cross-country and track-and-field but found a passion for competitive rowing which I partook for 4 years. Since moving to Arizona, I lost my connection to physical activity which weighed heavy for my mind & body as it had always been apart of my life.

Then during the pandemic, in 2021 I lost my grandmother to Covid. This loss left me no choice but to seek healing in order to find peace through the grief. I discovered the magic that is PhysioYoga after attending one of Geeny’s classes. After my first exposure to our community & the PhysioYoga practice I finally felt the motivation to restart my fitness journey, and more importantly my life again.

The PhysioYoga family helped me heal my mind while growing strength in my body. Since restarting my fitness journey, I’ve trained with Geeny to teach at PhysioYoga as well as working with personal trainers. I’ve now found a passion for fitness more than just an outlet and I’m happy to share this journey with everyone interested in a healthy lifestyle change.

Rhett Johnson - Instructor

I’m an Arizona native, most recently from NYC. I felt the need for a career shift and decided to come back to Arizona. I am now a 200 hour RYT Yoga Instructor and certified mat Pilates instructor. New to Arizona I began my journey in health and wellness in 2018. I was led to a hot yoga studio and quickly found myself committed to a daily practice as I found it helped my mind/body connection and loved the great community. In the first month of practice I asked myself, “what will I be doing a year from now?” and decided to buy an annual membership. It was the best decision as it sent me on a continued track of self discovery. I went through teacher training for yoga and Pilates in 2019 to further explore body movement, enhance leadership skills, and move forward in my goal to help others with their mind/body connection.

I have been teaching since 2019 and still enjoy taking and teaching class for the movement, mindfulness practice and sense of community. I enjoy my motorcycle, raising my cat named Sushi, music, festivals and great Thai/Indian food.

Rebecca lammersen - Instructor

Rebecca has been a yoga practitioner, student and teacher of different exercise and rehabilitative movement modalities for over 20 years. Her lifelong passion for health and wellness led her to a career as a therapeutic yoga teacher. In 2010, she founded and operated a boutique-style yoga studio, Yogalution, in the heart of Scottsdale. In 2015, her studio became contracted with 4C Medical Group as part of their integrative care model, where she provided ancillary therapeutic yoga programs for patients with a range of chronic and degenerative conditions, as well as home-based private programs for individuals with varying care needs.

After many years in practice, Rebecca came to the understanding that the body, mind and heart are inherently connected; the memories of our life experiences and the emotions connected to them are stored within our bodies. Fueled by this understanding, Rebecca felt a calling to attend graduate school to become a psychotherapist, in order to expand the effectiveness of her work and ability to support others on their life’s journey. Rebecca now serves as a Licensed Associate Counselor at Therapy With Heart, a marriage and couples counseling practice in Scottsdale and keeps her love of yoga alive by practicing and teaching at PhysioYoga Scottsdale! Rebecca teaches yoga prescriptively, as a modality of rehabilitation and prevention. Every class she teaches is created based on the individual and collective emotional and physical needs of her students. Through her intuitive, tailor-made sequencing, intentional cueing and safe, gentle adjustments, Rebecca’s students feel cared for, secure and understood.

Rebecca is a registered E-RYT 500, YACEP Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She obtained her 200-hour certification through At One Yoga, her 300-hour certification through Dave’s Astanga Yoga (Authentic Yoga of Scottsdale) as well as completed the YogaWorks Bridge Program. Rebecca is trained in Stott Pilates (mat and reformer series) through BodyScapes Studio of Scottsdale. Additionally, she is attuned in Reiki (1 & 2) under the mastery of Zeffi Kefala and completed her training in Yoga Nidra (Amrit Method) under the mentorship of Steve Price. Over the years, Rebecca has trained in other modalities including Original Strength by Tim Anderson and Bob Cooley’s Resistance Stretching, which have a strong presence in her classes. Her teaching style is deeply influenced and inspired by the late B.K.S. Iyengar, whose words describe the reason she continues to practice and learn from yoga, each and every day: "Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured."

Kate Mclelland - Instructor

Hi I'm Kate :) I have been a member of physioyoga Scottsdale since January 2021! I have always enjoyed running and competed all throughout high school. For me, with running came a lot of hip and knee pain. Before physioyoga, I never had a solution to this pain. However, since being introduced to the body realignment fundamentals and the mending processes through fascia releases I am able to currently train for half marathons pain free. Throughout this process I have developed a passion to teach the techniques I have learned through Geeny at the studio and aid in our community members physiological functionality.

Jen shifler - Instructor

I'm Jen, a former classroom educator and a forever student with over a decade of experience offering mindfulness, health and wellness practices in and outside of the classroom setting. After my first yoga class 10 years ago, I quickly realized that Yoga was the missing piece for me in my movement and mental space. Shortly after embodying the benefits of this practice I began to share Yoga and breathing techniques in my classrooms and created after school yoga programs and curriculums.

In 2013 I completed my 200 hour YTT and have continued my hearts work teaching yoga, very specific breathing techniques and meditation all while incorporating the life sciences of essential oils and aroma therapy.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach all ages ranging from 4-84 and I firmly feel that it is my goal to empower others to cultivate a culture of YOGA and wellness practices. We can start small right where we are and we do not need the perfect mat or setting to do so.

Sophia labahn - Instructor

I was born and raised in Kansas City, relocating to Arizona for a career in social work in 2015 after graduating from the University of Missouri. I began practicing yoga in high school, and have attended many different studios offering varying techniques throughout the years. As someone who works with children and adults who have experienced with trauma, the healing benefits of physioyoga - both physically and mentally - immediately resonated with me. I take the teachings of this practice to work with me everyday to benefit those who need some healing and look forward to passing this knowledge onto the students in the yoga studio.

During my free time, I enjoy walking with my two dogs and husband, reading, riding my bike, hiking, and traveling.

Jordan Razook - Instructor

Hi, my name is Jordan. I was born in Wichita, KS and moved to Scottsdale in February of 2018. I'm always searching for ways to physically and mentally better myself, and found Yoga to be one of the best holistic practices to promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

I've been practicing yoga consistently for about 6 years, and found PhysioYoga about 2 years ago. I've always suffered from tight shoulders, back, hips, etc. due to my active lifestyle and occupation that keeps me behind a computer for most of the day.  Not only did PhysioYoga help heal and strengthen these problem areas, it's improved my posture, improved my outlook on life, and allowed me to meet some great people along the way.

I recently made a career change, so when an opportunity arose to share my knowledge of yoga with others, I was ecstatic. When I'm not teaching or working, I enjoy golfing, hiking, pickleball, finding new exercise routines, hanging out with friends, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks!

Lauren Espinosa - Instructor

Hello, my name is Lauren. I was born in Toronto, Canada and grew up moving throughout the Midwest and East Coast, before moving to Arizona to attend U of A. I discovered PhysioYoga shortly after moving to Scottsdale in the Spring of 2022. It quickly became my favorite studio because of the range of classes Geeny has so thoughtfully curated. I began practicing yoga and pilates while in college and found these movements to be both physically and mentally healing. The teachings of PhysioYoga’s practice have made me even more passionate about strengthening this mind to body connection and sharing that knowledge with others.
